ST Beach Cleanup is a student-led initiative from Guangzhou that brings classmates, families, and neighbors together to care for our coast. What started as a small weekend pickup has grown into a welcoming community where anyone—first-time volunteers to seasoned organizers—can take simple actions that add up to real change.
We believe change starts small: one piece of trash, one wave, one story shared. Beyond cleanups, we host hands-on workshops, sort and record the trash we collect to understand local pollution patterns, and collaborate with schools and community groups to make sustainable habits part of everyday life. Every event is designed to be friendly, safe, and easy to join.

Founder and leader of ST Beach Cleanup, Steven Xu organizes community beach cleanups across Guangzhou and inspires students to take action for a cleaner, kinder world.
Aurora Wang
Director of Communications
Aurora Wang manages logistics and resource preparation for ST Beach Cleanup. From organizing cleanup materials like bags, tongs, and gloves to coordinating volunteers on-site, she ensures every event runs safely and efficiently. Her careful planning keeps our operations smooth and our beaches cleaner.
